Coming from the hospitality space, Marie brings a bagful of experience from the corporate travel industry, she is stylish, fun-loving, and passionate about her work, Meet Marie Easton Myers from Su.
Tell us a bit about your career in hospitality/ technology and the journey to Su.
My career started as a travel consultant selling holiday destinations which meant I was very lucky and got the opportunity to travel, and visited many beautiful locations. Later, I moved into Corporate travel and eventually started my own Corporate Travel Management company. Throughout my career, I travelled extensively and as Country Manager, had the opportunity to learn leading business practices and innovations from a Global partner and bring these to New Zealand.
The travel industry has evolved as more and more sophisticated technologies are now available, transforming the way businesses are operating and growing. At the core of the industry are the people, great relationships with their clients and this combined with cutting-edge technology makes life easier for everyone. I know what it’s like to start a company and how technology can help accelerate growth.
What do you like most about Su and your job? (Your work and why you like this technology).
When I first met Gavin and the Su team, I instantly felt what a great team and I haven’t been disappointed since joining the crew. I even got the chance to meet Gavin’s dog! The people here are positive, inclusive, friendly, and hardworking and most importantly they know how to have fun. All these values resonate with me.
In business, I believe in building strong partnerships with great communication, and working together to achieve great results for all parties. I also like innovation and how technology can accelerate and streamline processes for growing business, and I strongly feel Su has a fantastic product offering.

Life is a wonderful adventure and you never know what’s around the next corner!
Your interests outside Su. Do they help you do your job better?
My passion is travel and I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, and having some great conversations. It’s so interesting to see how others live, experience the food, different cultures, scenery and architecture around the world. It’s a great educator and I’ve met some wonderful people and that’s why working for Su is so interesting – I’m talking to people all over the world and hearing what is happening in their part of the World and I get to make life easier for them by telling them about how Su can help. I also love interior design, sailing, hiking and good food with friends.
Combining all of these makes life interesting and I would love to hop on a plane and visit our clients! PS my favourite place is Paris!
